Photos, recovered recently from more than 60-year-old film, have given the Longview woman an unexpected peek into the past.
The photos came from four rolls of undeveloped film Weber recently found in a long-forgotten cigar box while preparing to move from her home off Coal Creek Road.
"I didn't realize I had those films," Weber, 82, said Wednesday. "I think we probably couldn't afford to get them developed at the time. The films got tucked away and forgotten."
The majority of photos are of her late husband, Wayne, during his 18-month stint in the Army when he was stationed in Japan after World War II.
